Welcome The Arterie to Midtown KC on Sunday, Nov. 2 from 1-3 pm! Join us for the grand opening of this art-filled walkway, which starts at the new Art Museums stop on the KC Streetcar route (45th and Main streets) and guides visitors to the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, the Kansas City Art Institute, and the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art. The celebration will include music, food, art activities, congratulatory remarks from city officials and cultural leaders, and the beloved Fantastic Hat Parade.

Be among the first to visit The Arterie which features wayfinding and interpretive signage about the artwork along the path, beautiful fall foliage, and fellow art lovers to greet along the way.

  • Complimentary parking is available immediately surrounding the Kemper Museum and in the marked lot located north of the museum at the corner of 44th Street and Warwick Boulevard. Accessible parking spaces are available in both locations. Bicycle racks are located in the northwest corner of the parking lot.
